This Privacy Policy describes how your personal data is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from www.kivens.com (the “Site”).

It is important that you read this privacy policy, together with any other privacy policies we may provide, so that you are fully aware of how and why we are using your data.

Personal Data We Collect

We refer to this information as “Ordering Data”. When we talk about “Personal Data” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Data and Ordering Data.

What Do We Do With Your Data?

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal data you give us such as your name, address and email address. Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.

How Do We Use Your Personal Data?

We use the Ordering Data that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Ordering Data to Communicate with you; Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services. Payment

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then our ecommerce platform stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standards. Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council. PCI requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

KIVENS use third-party payment processors SIBS Payments and PayPal to process payments made for products and services via the Site.

Sharing Your Personal Data

We share your Personal Data with third parties to help us use your Personal Data, as described above (for example, the ability to sign in with Facebook).  We use Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the Site–you can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information here: https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/. Finally, we may also share your Personal Data to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to other lawful request, or to otherwise protect our rights.

Advertising, Marketing and Communications

As described above, we use your Personal Data to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.

Data Security

KIVENS has put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed. We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

Data Retention

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Data for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.  By law, we have to keep basic information about our customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for six years after they stop being customers for tax purposes.
